from the depths
I don't know what exactly went wrong on this album, but it falls way short of Ecliptica and Silence. The songs aren't leftover Silence tracks, they're too bad, for the most part. It also bugs me how it seems like they never knew how to end any of the songs....they just kinda stop. There's almost no blazing guitar solos, mostly keyboards, and all the melodies are sapped from the songs. They're sounding more like some kind of bad Dream Theater prog rock band than a power metal outfit. I guess I just expected more. It's not horrible, there's a few good songs, the Misery is a pretty good ballad, and the first track rocks, but its not good for what S.A. has done. I guess it just had too much to live up to.
