After releasing two studio albums (Silence and Ecliptica), Successor EP, three singles (UnOpened, Wolf & raven, and Last Drop Falls), Sonata Arctica releases Orientation EP which is only available in Japan.

Well, the first track, "Black Sheep", which can also be found in Silence, is a fast track. It shows how good keyboardist Mikko really is. The vocals are amazing! This song is degintely one of their gretest live songs too, no wonder. And the lyrics are very good, romantic but still evil. "Singing love song words of stranger, the howling miller never to face her...tempel of the evil tempel of the weak, no one knows how bad he feels, late night induendo, temptation of the key, live with the black sheep, live with me."

The Second One "Mary-Lou" is an acoustic version. The original version can be found in UnOpened-single or in Japanese version of Ecliptica. This version is very slow and beautiful. Tony Kakko sings very good. Very sad song, tells about a girl who runaways with a boy and then becomes pregnant...

"The Wind Beneath My Wings", Betty Midler cover is very good too, very good keyboards. This is maybe the best track in this album. Tony Kakko has learned to use his voice very differently. I like the lyrics very much, the chorus especailly: "Did you ever know that you're my hero and everything I'd like to be, I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you're the wind beneath my wings." Amazing, it would be nice to hear the original one.

"Die With Your Boots On", Iron Maiden cover is definitely better than the original one. There is more power! This one is faster too.

I recommend this album for every true Sonata Arctica fan. But I say this isn't worth your money if you only like some songs in Silence. Successor is a little bit better but this isn't bad either.
