This album is another terrific album by Nightwish. It strays a bit away from their usualy rock style adf more into the folk style with 'Over the Hills and Far Away' which is a tale of a man sent to prison for 10 years after being wrongly charged for theft. He has no aliby as he was with someone else's wife that night (the one who he's thinking about in prison). Basically, the song tells of his promis to 'return some day' and the love between him and the woman he loves. The live versions are great fun to listen to but only if you're a Nightwish fan (why would you hear a band live if you didn;t like them?). Nightwish's lives are pretty good (Not that I've been to one in the country I'm in) but they were voted second best live or something in Finland. The different version af 'Astral Romance' is good mainly because of the improvement in the male vocals. In the one on 'Angels Fall First' you might have found the male vocals annoying. Here they are a LOT less annoying. I do understand. however, that people might be put off by the price because it is the price of a full length album (which is the cheapest I've found). It is better if you can get this cheaper but, in the end, it's worth it.
