the first album I heard from Nightwish was 'Oceanborn' and really, that's still their best album up to date (their last was Century Child). Now I've listened to all four albums (and Over The Hills) and I say: 'Angels Fall First' is their second best album (yes, better than 'Wishmaster'). 'Elvenpath' is a catchy song, very nice, but after a while you get a bit tired of it (it would be a perfect single). 'Beauty And The Beast'...I wouldn't have a clue why people think this is one of the worst Nightwish songs...I think it's superb! Really, after those 6,5 minutes I just want more. Tuomas singing is not the best in the world, but it can pass... 'The Carpenter' was Nightwish first single, but I hate it...definitly their worst song...not only is the song just boring (there's no melody, no rhythm, beu), also Tuomos vocals are absolutely TERRIBLE on this one...Tarja tries to make it up, but their voices just don't fit if they sing at the same time... 'Astral Romance' is a song that needs a bit more listening, but you get really hooked on, very good one. 'Angels Fall First' is also a song that needs more listening. I always skipped it in the beginning, but now I think it's a beautiful song, mature and god...Tarja sings superb! 'Tutankhamen' is 'just a song', not bad, not super...it can be funny and annoying at the same time... 'Nymphomaniac Fantasia' is a song with a very specific atmosphere. Very creepy, but very good. 'Know Why The Nightingale Sings' is my favourite on this album. Especially the guitar and keyboard solos at the end are just magnificent!! It's more poppy, but really, just sooo good. 'Lappi Lapland' is not bad. The first three parts you could even call good. But the last part 'Etiainen' is over the top...This is the only Nightwish song on which Tarja's vocals irritate me... Overall, a very good album. Just a shame about 'The Carpenter', a song to get sick of...
