Angels Fall First, some might argue, might not be the best album of Nightwish or at least not their favorite. this album, in my opinion, is excellent. The Carpenter blew me away, it's simply beautiful (like all their other music). the songs on this album are a bit too melodic, even for Nightwish, but that's the reason why I like then. if you are one of those people who don't like melodic-style gothic-metal, then this isn't your thing. there isn't any deep, dark vocals per say, only tarja's angelic voice. the four Lappi tracks are excellent too, also very melodic. I have to say that Lappi III: This Moment is Eternity reminded me of a Final Fantasy-ish theme song. this album as a whole is great, everything you need to send you off into another world, their world. a world where Angels Fall First.
