I read reviews of this CD. HORRIBLE was all I heard from everything. I heard how there were no guitar solos from Kirk this time, the songs weren't the best, and overal, it sucked. But, one of my friends bought it and let me borrow it for awhile to listen to it. This CD is change. Most people hate change. They can't stand to see a band change cause they're uesd to one genre of music from them. That's what happened to Metallica. They changed. And as for me, I don't think that they change they made was that bad. Some of the better stand out songs on the album are St. Anger, Some Kind of Monster, Sweet Amber and Purify. The rest of the songs, I agree, sucked. Especially Frantic. Oh my go, did that song annoy me to no end when I first heard it. Not only is it boring, it has no tune. Drained the headbanging juice out of me, which isnt normal for me when Im listening to Metallica. I only recommand this album to you if you are ready to heard Metallica in a whole new way. If not, then all you will have to say about the CD is how it sucked.
