Where to begin? The entire album sounds like it was recorded in an old aluminum tool shed, the drum sound is so poor it is actually shocking. The songs themselves are terrible, just repetitive boring Korn/Tool/SOAD type riffs that go nowhere and take forever to get there. Hetfields bizzare crooning, the tempo changes out of nowhere for the sake of it, and the downright embarrassing lyrical content make listening to this disaster a truly unpleasant experience. This album is not just bad, it is "Music From The Elder"-bad. What this band let Bob Rock do to them this time will ruin them for good. Maybe in a few years, Hetfield can do "Probot 2", if he'll sing like he used to and knock off the very peculiar Bing Crosby stuff. They drove their old fans away, and the younger crowd won't be fooled by this drivel, they know they can hear the same thing from thier contemporaries only better and for real.
