I'm kind of the typical Metallica fan, who loves Ride the Lightning and .....And Justice for all and all of the other classic albums, but I must come out and say something about this album. It does not suck. It isnt exactly good, either. But everyone has to admit that this really is a good comeback to the pieces of crap labeled "load" and "reload". Metallica is my favorite metal band, but to this day I still refuse to buy those two. I was reluctant to even purchase this album, but seeing it on ebay as a promo and so cheap I decided to, because if it sucked I could just give it away without remorse. But this an allright album. It is not "Master of Puppets". But compared to some of the sadder "nu-metal" acts such as Slipknot and Mudvayne, this album isnt bad.
