Well I have to be honest when i first got this album i hated it, i was so disappointed because i was expecting the old 'tallica to bust out one of their awesome guitar solos or have a killer bass solo intro to the songs and if this is what you are looking for in an album i wouldn't recommend St. Anger. But after awhile i was bored an i threw on St. Anger again an something clicked, i started to really get into the songs. Some Kind Of Monster is my favorite song on the record. I hope that Metallica doesn't stay in this new direction of Nu-Metal for too long because i miss the 5 minutie Kirk solos and James's trademark growl. But i'm glad Metallica did this album because its just more proof that Metallica can do any kind of music any style, any way and make it their own. But if you are like me and love a good angry heavy album to listen to to get rid of your frustrations St. Anger is a must have.
