No, they didn't spend over a million dollars making it. No, they didn't spend a year putting themselves through hell to make every song perfect.

However, I do enjoy this album. I noticed a return to human emotion as the backbone for some of these songs. Confusion, Anger, Fear, and Paranoia are just some of the ones I noticed. James' vocals sound insane and the gloomy lyrics make these songs hard to forget.

St. Anger does require an open mind to truly enjoy. Its not often that a mainstream metal band puts out an album that actually requires you to think a little!

- personally I do feel that short and simple solos in some of the songs might have made them a little more interesting. Although I do still feel that the majority of the songs on the album don't suffer from the lack of solos. In fact if some actually had the two or three minute solos that we heard in Justice or Master it would have just been a distraction used to sell albums.

On a Side Note: I love listening to this album when I'm working because I'm moving around. I do think that this album is hard to listen to sitting down.

I also think that this is a step up when compared to there last two or even three albums. Why? Because its obvious that these songs mean something to them. On the DVD you see them having the time of there lives playing these songs. I think that the high points of this album are St. Anger, the unnamed feeling, frantic, some kind of monster, and purify. All Within my Hands is a good song along with My World.

- I do think that this album needed a short instrumental track in the beginning (you know to set the mood).

P.S. Unlike most of you this is going to be the only review I will write on this album. I think that this album could have used some editing but it was an overall success.
