...Sure, S&M had it's skeptics. Sure, people questioned, "How the hell are they going to pull that off?" I was rather excited about this performance when I first heard about it. Of course, I didn't think it would be as good as it was. When I picked up the CD, I read the songs and first questioned..."Where is 'Fade to Black'?" ..."The Unforgiven I & II"? These are three songs I thought would be on the album, but weren't. So I was a little shaky, but I bought it anyway. I got home and started listening to it. The first song I listened to was "Master of Puppets" and it was brilliant. As I started listening to the rest of the album, I was blown away by "Of Wolf and Man", which I think is one of the highlights on the album, as well as "Bleeding Me", and my personal favorite, "For Whom the Bell Tolls". The disc contains two newe songs, "No Leaf Clover" and "Minus Human", which are Metallica classics. One song I enjoyed, but at first I thought they could have used "Fade to Black" or one of the "Unforgiven"'s to take it's place was "Devil's Dance". I still enjoyed the song a lot and I'm they didn't take it off the album. The orchestra shines through on songs like "Until it Sleeps" and "Master of Puppets". My favorite song on the album is "For Whom the Bell Tolls" because the way the orchestra plays the riffs just perfect. I really love this album, and the DVD is awesome too. Heavy Metal and Classical Symphony diverge!
