In thier early days, Metallica was unquestionably the best hard rock/Metal band on the scene. Thier second release 'Ride the Lightning' cemented them as the premier metal band the world over. From the thunderous 'trapped under ice' to the haunting 'for whom the bell tolls'....it boasts impressive songwriting and musicianship.
If you ever buy a Metallica CD...make sure you get this one. Its thier finest hour.
