An excellent album from the one time masters of thrash, Metallica. With riffs and melodies running between ultra-fast to ballad slow softness. The aggression, speed and anger on this disc is undeniable and as true as the day it was released.

The album opens with two awesome tracks, "Fight Fire With Fire" and "Ride the Lightning". These are definately tracks that show you the range and talent that Metallica had. Other songs like "Fade to Black" give a more romantic form of Metallica, which gives a slow and melodic but still intense experience to the listener.

This is a true metal classic. Blending speed with heart and talent, this shows a time before St. Anger when Metallica still f**king rocked.
