I know that is alot to say of a cd; and that a 5 stars must signify excellence. All is true of this cd. I know most say that Master Of Puppets and And Justice For All are better, but I find this cd more rewarding. While M.O.P. was heavy and A.J.F.A intricate, I felt that R.T.L. combined both aspects. It was heavy yet melodic. The boys really sounded well on this album-they also sounded good on the other two aforementioned cds mind you- but this cd had alot of heart. While there are only 8 songs on this disc, it still manages to feel like an eternity. I HIGHLY recommend this cd for your introduction into Metallica, or for your next cd purchase. All of the songs are just fantastic, but, in my opinion, the following are standout tracks:For Whom The Bell Tolls Ride The Lightning Fade to Black Creeping Death Trapped Under Ice Fight Fire with fire That is pretty much the whole cd. The other two songs are all right in my opinion, and are worthy of a listen to every time. I highly recommend this to any rock fan and metal fan. I also recommend any release before their self-titled release.
