from A Place For Talented Tastes
When I bought this album I was told it was Metallica's best by one of my friends. Needless to say I bought this album with very high expectations. When I first listened to it compleltey blew me away. After listening to it over and over again I honestly think that I can say that is this one of Metallica's best albums. If you like Metallica this album is a must own. If you like metal in the least this album is a must own as well. So my opinion is that "Ride the Lightning" is just plain great.
