Metallica Sell Out would have been a better album name. But here is the review.Enter Sandman: 5 minutes of similar guitar riffs would be boring if any other band did it. But Kirk Hammett saves the day with awesome background guitar and one of the best guitar solos ever. Rating: 4/5 Sad But True: This is the best song on the album. Great intro, cool lyrics complete with echo effect, and a minor key lead during the chorus. Rating: 5/5 Holier than Thou: This song attempts to imitate their older songs, and is the heaviest song on the album, but the lyrics suck, so it is not 5 out of 5. Rating: 4/5 The Unforgiven: A slow song about child abuse; this song is better than it seems because of Kirk's guitar. Rating: 4/5 Wherever I May Roam: A good song, it has good lyrics. Rating: 4/5 Don't Tread on Me: One of the worst Metallica songs there is in my opinion. It is bad not only because it is hypocritical, after the And Justice for All album, but there is nothing good in it besides the drumming, where Lars Ulrich performs well. Rating: 2/5 Through the Never: A better sci-fi style song is the multi-part 2112 by Rush. Rating: 2/5 Nothing Else Matters: This song is Metallica's Stairway to Heaven. It just isn't as good. Nice orchestra. Rating: 3/5 Of Wolf and Man: A very visual song. The chorus is cool. Rating: 4/5 The God that Failed: Skip this song if you are evangelical. Otherwise, a very good song on Christian science. Rating: 4/5 My Friend of Misery/ The Struggle within: These songs are just copies of the other songs on the album and are not worth listening to. Rating: 3/10 Summary: Kirk Hammett saves this album from sucking. Stop listening after track 10.
