Metallica's Fifth Album; often reffered to as the Black AlbumThis album is hard to review because on one hand this album recieves too much praise as being Metallica's greatest. On the other hand alot of the fans dismiss it as a sellout just because of all the attention it was getting. In both cases they are all wrong. It is not thier best work but to dismiss it as a bad album is wrong as well. There are just too many great songs on here to not recognize this disc. The guitar work is not nearly as technical as ...And Justice For All (the album that preceded Black) and the vocals are alot cleaner then all previous attempts. However you can't deny this record and just scoff it off as a sellout. Highlights Include; Sad But True, Wherever I May Roam and Stuggle Within
