First, "Kill 'Em All" introduced us to thrash/speed metal and the beginning of a great metal band. "Ride the Lightning" showed us that bands/artists improve with their sophomore effort. And now "Master of Puppets" comes, which should be hailed as the greatest metal album of all time, and as Metallica's best album. With this album, they've found the sound they've longed for. It starts with a very cool Spanish-guitar melody, then jumps into their traditional heavy metal sound. The songs "Master of Puppets" and "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" in my opinion are the greatest Metallica songs ever. Most people may disagree and say that this isn't Metallica's best, but we all have opinions, don't we? Even though I've recently uncovered the pre-Black Album umm... albums, this is a classic.
