Combining manic speed with NWOBHM, Metallica were on of the most important figures of the Thrash Metal scene of the early 80s. Kill 'Em All, which lives up to its name, is a great showcase to how bands like Megadeth and Slayer wanted to sound. It combines the speed of bands like Pantera, DRI, and Slayer with the melodic but intense sounds of British bands like Motorhead and Judas Priest. Knows as the first offical thrash album, this album gives a speed and intensity that was not seen on most other albums of the metal genre. The vocals combined with furious, nihilistic and quickly muted guitar riffs and angry double bass drums. This is also one of the only Metallica albums to feature the unbelievable bass talent of original bassist Cliff Burton. Songs like the anthemic "Seek and Destroy" and the metal classic "Metal Malitia" gives the "Metal 101" on how to play thrash. Unbelievable riffs and solos go at speeds faster than thought. These guys knew what they were doing. In conclusion, Kill 'Em All is a F**KING MASTERPIECE. Definately Metallica's best and fastest achievement, this album should be in every metal fans collection. BUY IT!!!
