I would have given this album 5 stars had it not been for disc 1 which only serves to provide filler songs. Sabbra Cadabra is the only song in disk one I could get into but, honestly Black Sabbath does it better. Sabbath had more fluidity and had a better creative touch. I have all the respect for Kirk but, he's not in the same league as Toni Iommi especially when it comes to doing black sabbath songs. "Turn the page" was a good cover of Bob Segars tune and i enjoyed metallica's version more however, It still does not fall into the standard of the raw energy and passion that Metallica's songs are known for. Thank goodness for CD 2 which contains the fast riffs and high octane energy charged songs that we are all accustomed to and for all the critics that want to pigeon hole me into the typical heavy metal fan that isnt open minded, all I have to say is that Metallica is what they are which are the pioneers of metal. I enjoy all rock genres as long as it sounds good and I even enjoyed some of the songs from load and reload however, I was always left with the empty feeling of those albums missing that special element which made their old albums up to sandman great. Anyway way I recommend you all get this album for what CD 2 has to offer.
