An Impressive Collection

For those who like a wide variety of rock and metal, hearing Metallica take on some of their favorite bands is a big treat.

The division of the 2 discs is pretty clear - Disc 1 has recently recorded covers that will appeal more to the Load/Reload crowd, while Disc 2 has some of Metallica's classic metal covers collected for the first time. While many older fans might have the majority of Disc 2's tracks on one obscure bootleg or another, new and old fans alike can enjoy most of Disc 1's selections. The tracks tend to run hot and cold, but the good news is that there is far more good than bad. Standout tracks like "Turn The Page", "Stone Cold Crazy", and "Helpless" have quickly become concert favorites. The only really substandard tracks are the Discharge covers, which pretty much consist of a decent riff with James screaming the title of the song over and over.

All in all, you get alot of bang for your buck. Recommended for any rock or metal fan.
