This is by far one of the best Metallica albums ever, this album takes a look at how messed up the world is today, and how complicated personal matters can be. The music here is intense, much faster, louder, and more technical than the first 3 albums. This album takes us behind the scenes of Metallica, with the death of Cliff Burton, it seemed like it was a hard album for them to swallow because they thought of turning Metallica into a memory, but Jason Newstead decided to step in Cliff's shoes and he sure did a good job, it's a shame he didn't stay long. Hetfields lyrics on this album are very personal; he seems to take the loss of Cliff very personally. It is hard to deal with a death in a family, but time marches on for Metallica, and this album proves it.
