Manowar have in the past received a lot of unfair criticism for stricking to their one style of music , their beliefs in music. I've in the past got a lot of stick for liking them I've purchased every release. Some I've loved (Into Glory Ride/Sign/Triumph), others I've liked. It therefore pains me to say this is the first CD by Manowar I've bought where I can say I don't like it and am unlikely having played it twice to ever play it through again!Reasons Track 3 Nessun Dorma (need I say any more!) Track 4 Valhalla Track 6 An American Trilogy and other offenders. This is not traditional Manowar. Its certainly often not TRUE Metal as the band keep insisting they are unless you view anything played by Manowar as True Metal whatever style it really is! It's not what I want to listen to when I listen to Manowar. I'm happy the band like it and are prepared to play ;; I love Manowar and I think this is a bold statement by them but I'm sorry I don't like it... my personal view.. if I buy a Manowar album I usually get what I expect this one I don't. So it's up to you. I hope you enjoy it more than I did.
