This is definitely a true metal classic! You really get a taste of "Manowars" raw power and their unique abilities. Songs like "Revelation" and "Gates of Valhalla" really amaze me! Erics' voice is so powerful and the mood of the music is so driving. Few bands in this world posses the raw ability to get their message across like "Manowar" does. I really think this was a stepup from their first album "Battle Hymns". There are a few things about this album that don't flow with me to well. The production is fairly poor, some of the songs seem to drawn out, and the vocals seem a little to extreme at times. All in all this is a very unique album and a must have for any true metal fan! A word to the wise, This Ones' Got To Be Played Loud to get the full effect! So lock yourself up, crank the dial and enjoy the ride!!
