Unleashed In The East

(Average Rating: 9.64 out of 10)

Great Album, good reamaster, but the bonus tracks.........

(Rated this album with 10 out of 10)

First of all let me say that Unleashed in the East is a great record and is the best live record by Priest. it kicks off with Exciter, probably the first real speed metal recording. Next is runnig Wild, and this versoin sounds twice as heavy as the one on Hell Bent for Leather. Sinner is next, and is one of the best songs on Unleashed, and has an awesome solo with lots of different effects done by K.K. Sinner is followed by The Ripper, Green Manalisi, and Diamonds and Rust, all exeptionally done. Victim of changes is next. WOW !!!!. A very powerful song. The riff is great too. Genocide is next and has exeptional guitar work done by Glenn Tipton throughout the song. Then Tyrant. The last solo is simply amazing. Just listen to them playing it at the same time. Then come the bonus tracks, Rock Forever, Delivering the Goods, Hell Bent for Leather, and Starbreaker. All of the bonus tracks are great, but they were all released before on the Japanese version of Unleashed called Priest in the East, and most Priest fans probably had that one already. It would've been nice to hear tracks like Dissident Aggressor, Stained Class, Beyond the Realms of Death. I really hoped to see more of Stained Class on this remaster because Stained Class is favourite Judas Priest album, with Unleashed being the second. This remaster sounds a little better than the original one, u can hear the drums and the base better. The drummer Les Binks is simply amazing! Too bad he left JP a short time after this album's release. He even does double-base drumming, which was very rare in the 1970's. Unleased won't dissapoint!
