On their third release, 1977's Sin After Sin, Judas Priest continued their relentless march towards metal domination. This is their first album to sport no duds, and continues with the musical diversity of Sad Wings of Destiny. Rob, K.K., Glenn, and Ian finally had the sense to hire a good drummer, Simon Phillips, and his work on this album leaves many a Priest fan wishing he'd continued with the band (though few will complain about his replacement). Rob's incomparable vocals are cokplemented by some excellent guitar work courtesy of K.K. and Glenn. The best tracks to be found here are Sinner, Starbreaker, Raw Deal, and Here Come the Tears(I never before knew that they had the talent for that kind of ballad). Despitte all these plusses, I would still reccomend this 5th out of Priest's 70s albums , after Unleashed..., Stained Class, Hellbent for Leather, and Sad Wings of Destiny, and before the mediocre Rocka Rolla.
