This came out in 1976, the year I was in Kindergarten. I bought the tape sometime in the early-1980s when I got into Judas Priest as a teenager. I lost the tape shortly thereafter and just bought on CD nearly 20 years later. Talk about missing out! This album is great and does not seem more than a quarter century old. 'Victim of Changes', 'The Ripper', 'Dreamer Deceiver', 'Genocide' are the highlights but there is nothing weak on the record. It has material ranging from crunching heavy metal to beautiful acoustic pieces with some piano added in. This is unique material that does not have any counterpart in their later material. Sad Wings of Destiny almost seems as if it could have been part of a double album with Sin after Sin. They just seem to go together in terms of music, mood, lyrical quality, themes, etc. Very early Priest is unfairly neglected today.
