All I read about this album is "how bad it is." because of this, I was reluctant to buy it. Judas Priest is one of my all time favorite bands, so I decided to buy it to complete my CD collection. I was pleasently surprised. I bought the version of the album released by Koch Records and the sound is amazing! I was blown away from the remastering. The Kosch album has the songs Winter, Deep Freeze, Winter Retreat, and Cheater as one track. I don't know if it is that way on other releases, but I wish they would have split them up. Deep Freeze is ultimatly terrible, but Cheater is great, but you have to suffer through Deep Freeze in order to get to Cheater. With that aside, I really like this album. It is older priest, so its not metal. Its more classic rock sounding in the vein of Led Zepplin and Deep Purple. This album is ment for Die Hard Priest fans. By far my favorite track is Rocka Rolla. A pleasant surprise is that the album contains an earlier version of Diamonds and Rust. It does sound pretty much the same as the version on the Sin After Sin Album. Not much difference. Oh, and for those of you wondering what Rob Halford sounds like on this album. He sounds like him mormal self. Poor production doesn't hinder his great voice. Rocka Rolla is good in my book. Slow, classic, and good.
