I guess you could say this album is borderline thrash/speed metal. When I first previewed this album, the title track blew me away! Judas Priest always was a define classic metal band, though this album does show some flavor of speed. The songs are fast, furious, and heavy. The blistering title track is my favorite. "Metal Meltdown" contains their best guitar solo ever! "Night Crawler" is an interesting display of melody and metal to perfection with a steady beat. Scott Travis' drumming is sensational. He is much better then Dave Holland, and it's a shame that this would be the only superior album with him.

The only thing that I find upsetting about this album is that every song seems like a carbon copy of another. "All Gun Blazing" sounds fast and furious like the title track, and "Night Crawler" sounds like a slowed down version of "All Guns Blazing." Regardless, this is an excellent album. It is defining moment of Judas Priest's career, and the last with Rob Halford.
