I just got Metal Works '73-'93 a few weeks ago. This is the first album that I've ever got from Judas Priest. I've been aware of the band and some of their material for years, though. Judas Priest is a pretty cool group. I've always liked their guitar work and energy. Every song on this collection doesn't grab me, but there are several of them that are good. Rob Halford is a good vocalist with nice range. He can really hit the high notes. All of the tracks on Metal Works '73-'93 were compiled by the band. It consists of two discs (I like the material on the second disc a bit better.). This album is not meant to be a greatest hits or best of, but to commemorate 20 years of recording and performing together. The songs come from several albums. The CD booklet is pretty neat and informative. Different band members comment on the various songs--there are also some cool photos, too. Some of the songs that I like are "Breaking the Law," "Turbo Lover," and "Night Comes Down." Metal Works '73-'93 has some good moments. Worth a listen.
