this is it...this is how priest should have always sounded. ripper's performance on this album crushes any of the previous live efforts made by halford. this is a great album from top to bottom. the guitars sound heavier than ever and this really adds a great deal to the album. i never could have imagined priest coming off as heavy as they do on this album. another positive is the way that the crowd is brought way up in the mix and helps give the feeling that one is actually at the show. this is really the best priest album that i own. purists may not approve of the versions or the vocalist, but this is really, for my money, the definitive priest collection(or as close as can be put on less than 4 discs). i know that this may be blasphemy. buy metal works also, but do not ignore this release. if you do, you will burn eternally while being forced to listen to turbo and some of halford's weaker efforts.
