This album has one piece of music that makes it worth having......Cathedral Spires, which is one of the awesomest-sounding songs ever done by Priest. But if it weren't for Cathedral Spires, I would be trading this CD in.....the rest of it is mediocre metal, with what have to be the dumbest lyrics ever to appear on a Priest album (they used to tell some good stories, now they're trying to compete with Cannibal Corpse).

I remember hearing a radio interview with the surviving members of priest, just after Halford's departure.....they said that they would eventually be recording a new album, once they found a new vocalist....and that "It would be the best album that Priest had ever done, that it would have to be, that they owed it to the fans." Sorry guys.....this is one of your weakest albums, and can't hold a candle to Defenders of the Faith and Screaming for Vengeance (in my opinion, the two best Priest albums ever).

Equally, a solo Rob Halford has not been able to create anything of import, so we obviously have a case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. A few bands have been able to come up with some of their strongest albums ever, after signing on a new front man (consider Black Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell," where Ronnie James Dio took the reins from Ozzy).....but sadly, this is not one of them.
