Having discovered the Priest late in thier career (see Turbo), I was upset to find that another great band had fell apart due to internal conflicts just after I really began to dig them! Bummer. So at least as the news came forth I could take solice in the fact that they were to continue with a new singer...emmm Ripper!Cough, cough, from a Judas Priest cover band! Never mind listen with open ears I thought, you could be suprised.....But wot happened? I played this one over and over and I really wanted to like it...but to no avail. The songs(!) have lost any identity by trying too hard to be brutal and cutting edge, with some pretty naff lyrics to boot. Lets see...'turn me off, pull the plug, leave me with some dignity' which could actually be sound advice for any one listening to this! Now the two stars are actually for the title track which isn't half bad at all (if Rob had sang it). Now as Gene Simmon's would say "hear my words and take heed" if you want to hear this band at its supreme and extreme best don't try here, try "Painkiller", or for the bigger picture "Metal Works" cause basically neither has songs of the calibre contained here.
