The second album Priest did in just one year (1978), Hell Bane For Leather paved the way for the Priest sound of the 80s while remaining significantly different. Right off from the opener Delivering the Goods, Priest delivers some of their best material. Pretty much all the songs here are good, with the exceptions of Evening Star and Before the Dawn, but that it simply my personal opinion, I still don't like Priest doing more ballady-tyupe stuff, not as if they were bad songs. And as for the bonus tracks, the live version of Riding on the Wind is disposible, and Halford sounds horrible on this particular track. However the studio bonus track, Fight for Your Life is great. I always loved Rock Hard, Ride Free except for the chorus, and the 'early' version corrects that problem wonderfully. Highly recommended
