Judas Priest was one of the bands that started the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (the greatest movement in human history). Not only were they incredibly influential, but they were also really awesome. Hell Bent For Leather is a prime example of just how great this band was. Every song on the album is amazingly hard-rocking. If you are looking for some great 70's metal to rock you to the core, get some Judas Priest. I can't tell you what their best album is (I only have this and British Steel), but I think this is better than 1980's British Steel; they got a little too commercial after this. This album has some great classics, such as "Delivering the Goods," "Green Manalishi," and the title track "Hell Bent for Leather," but the other cuts are also top-notch metal. Even the ballad "Before the Dawn" is great, albeit not hard-rocking like the rest of the record. The bonus tracks are pretty good, I guess. You know, they're bonus tracks, you love 'em or hate 'em. I don't really listen to them, I'd rather just listen to the actual album some more. But with this aside, Hell Bent for Leather by Judas Priest is an essential metal album for any metal fan with a brain!
