First of let me say that ripper owens is a great singer with good range, too bad its poorly utilized here. In fact theres an overabundant amount of vocal distortion and gasp, even rap-style vocals on metal messiah, i'd compare thsi latest style change comparable to anthrax in the late 80's/early 90's. Weak riffs, excessively cheesey lyrics (even for priest), such as cyberface (attempt to counter halford's cyberworld?), it seems judas priest's days of glory , both popularity and musically, are over, it's a sad day for metal fans.
