Let's see, songs about lawyers, road warriors, living in hell... hmmm. Titles like "Devil Digger", "Hell Is Home", and "Cyberface"... hmmm. If it didn't have the Priest name on it, I wouldn't have bothered. Sadly enough, I was suckered in one last time. Don't get me wrong, I have strong feelings for Priest. Albums like "Sad Wings" and "Sin After Sin" are classics. "Screaming For Vengeance" and "Defenders" are very satisfying. Unfortunately, the creative juices have dried up. Glenn writes silly, juvenile lyrics, and Ripper sounds like he wants to be Phil Anselmo (who can't sing). Where have the hot lead breaks and screams gone, anyhow? And by no means is this Ripper's fault! Maybe if Glenn would let him write the lyrics, we wouldn't have this problem. I never thought "Jugulator" would top any album, but it walks all over "Demolition." Sad days are upon us. I'm going to see these guys live in September, and I'm sure they still rock hard. I won't be singing along to any of these songs, however. Go buy the back catalog and skip this one.
