Someone else has got to write the lyrics for Judas Priest. I may be different than a lot of metal fans but music for me is really ruined when silly lyrics accompany it. If it were not for "Machine Man", "Subterfuge" and "Metal Messiah", I would have sold this in a used CD shop already. Those three songs rock and rock well, the music is good, the singing is fabulous and the lyrics aren't bad. It should come as no surprise that Chris Tsangerides co-wrote two of those. Maybe he should write more for them. The problem with modern day Priest is that the band is now Glenn Tipton, with help from KK and a couple of guys. Ripper's voice is incredible, I just wish that the songs would show this. There is too much of a double bass drum, fast pace and frenetic shredding atmosphere to the current Priest. My opinion is that while Ripper has a great voice, if you love the old priest you will be disappointed as I was. The magic just isn't there anymore. A lot of the music sounds uninspired and the silly lyrics, especially "Cyberface" really make me laugh instead of rocking on. It is sad.
