As a new metal album 'Demolition'is very good, cutting edge. However,it is very far removed from the classic Priest sound and this can be a problem with the long time fans. The crunch and the double guitar attack is good and powerful;obviously this is a very tight band that refuses to get old,and Ripper Owens is finally coming into his own on tracks such as'Bloodsuckers'or'Feed On Me',which are progressions of 1997's 'Jugulator'.It is a very bold and risky move on the part of Judas Priest to release such an experimental album. In the end it's all a matter of taste;as far as the rock world is concerned, the average fan tends to be quite conservative.
