You know, I tried to pretend I like this CD. I tried to appreciate and understand all of the reviews and to keep an open mind regarding the music, the lyrics, the voice, etc. of this new era of Priest. I tried and tried again and finally, I'm sick of it! Bottom line: The minute I put PainKiller or any Priest CD prior to it, in my CD player, I realize how bad Demolition really is. The song titles, and lyrics are childish. The music is good, but, carries a thrash I heard years ago from Metallica and other harder edged metal bands with a good drummer. Heck, Priest is all about Tipton and Downing's dueling guitars. I just can't find it on this CD. I have to give some credit to Ripper Owens. He does have a good voice, but, would have been better off trying to find a new band to take to the top, rather than finding an old band that's already been there. Now they're playing venues smaller than the previous venues green rooms. Do I sound disgusted? Yes! I still think Halford should rejoin Priest and do one final tour. Then, it's time for all of them to realize it's time to relax and listen to other bands for a while.
