Well....as a grandpa 4 U folks (35 yrz o'age) I reserve the right to know what I'm babbling about :-) and I recommend this record strongly!
Plz don't believe in those critics so oftenly heard with exchangable names of bands, I have heard this stuff a million times before, "Shouter is wrong" "not as good as they used to be" "unfortunately they did this and that" "we expected more" "...", ...
This is a very fine heavy album of a band we know very well and there might be some reason why they did this or that and why there is another shouter like we were used to know....
And he is a great one.
If there weren't Mr. Halford, I would say, he is the perfect singer 4 Judas, but I'd like to state that he is much more than a substitute. For me personally, he is just one of the best voices I've ever heard!
I wonder why Mr. Owens is so offended by critics as if he were some "could you help me to find the tune" :-) - ever listened to this shouting on Bloodsuckers? The matter of fact is that Mr. Owens is the shouter of Judas and those who are praying for the real thing should buy the '80 release British Steel - which is one of the 2 or 3 records I still love to play today. Everybody who has this record, knows whaddamean. Others BUY!
Or jump outta ta win, but plz do tha' only if you live in the 1st floor :-) Or criticise and criticise, I don't believe it, because I know the tune and all which spills out is negativism at it's worst...I've heard this before (and I've said this before :-D). I am bored by this so oftenly heard story, anyway, here's another one: look in the sky, see a warming sun and have a nice day. Relax, sit back and listen once more to this record. You will be astonished, how relaxingly this opens your mind to some new ideas or songs or singers or who knows what. It ain't the best of Judas (this is and will be "British Steel"), but it is another fine work of one of the best bands still playing.
For that my rating of 5 ones.
I just love this record. It is very spicy and it has a lot of surprises to offer. Folks, just buy it.
