Defenders of the Faith is an excellent album. It retains much of the heaviness of its predeecessor, Screaming for Vengeance, except without a standout hit single. Freewhell Burning is a fast, heavy, melodic rocker with excellent vocals. Jawbreaker is another excellent track. The lyrics are obviously homosexual content, but who cares? Rock Hard Ride Free is a solid effort. The Sentinel is one of the best songs on here, and it has an interesting break. Eat Me Alive is another sexual song, but it could be for either sex. Some Heads Are Gonna Roll is a classic mid-tempo rocker that is sooo Judas Priest. Defenders of the Faith is a classic.
