I'm directing this review to those unfamiliar with Priest, not the hardcore fans. As we all know, the majority of Judas Priest fans consider this a solid album, but not their best. For me, this is the album that made me a fan, and though it may not be the best, it holds a special place for me(everyone has a favorite album like that). Sure, I had heard of Judas Priest, knew "Breaking The Law" and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'", even owned Painkiller. For some reason I never became hardcore until I bought Defenders on a friend's suggestion and listened to it about four times. That did it for me. So, I'd like to think that for the people curious about Judas Priest, this album would hopefully do the same. But prepare yourself, coz you'll want the entire catalog.
