By the second listen, British Steel had become one of my favorite Priest albums. This can be attributed to the change in style. British Steel is simplified musicly and lyricly it is basicly a party record celebrating themes like being Metal Gods, Breaking the Law, and Living After Midnight. Rapid Fire is a brilliant opener and has to be the most under-rated song here. Grinder and Steeler are fun songs. You Don't Have to be Old to be Wise is catchy also. With Priest, you can become divided on what phases in their career you favor, from the technical artistry of the 1970s to the arena headliners of the 1980s to the glam Turbo and the ultra-heavy Painkiller, and new Judas Priest. British Steel sounds dated, but it still rules.
