First of all, I'd like to say that everyone who is trying to rate which album or song is the best, worst, or whatever, is wasting time. Iron Maiden is just the best heavy metal band of all time period. Every album that they have cranked out is fantastic, with the possible exceptions of the 2 with Blaze Bailey- nothing against him, it's just not Bruce or Paul, (in my opinion, the vocals didn't cut it and the songs seemed to be written without much direction, and it all seems very repetitive. I also don't care for Steve playing bass chords too much.) But back to the review: the synthesized guitars added a new dimension to their sound, but it still grabs ya by the right spot and rocks you hard. I really regret not seizing the opportunity to go see them live for this tour, I kick myself often. I have seen them 3 other times, though, all wonderful shows! This cd is definitely a great one, but your collection absolutely has a gaping hole in it without each and every one of their cd's. This band is the epitome of musical genius!!! Somewhere In Time is definitely worth having. Ironhead.
