Quite a few of Maiden's album are hailed as metal classics, but their seventh studio album, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, is for me their best album. First of all, this is a an example of brilliant songwriting combined with a production that Maiden has yet to repeat. Maiden shows through the songs how varied they can be; uptempo stuff like 'Moonchild' through spellbinding guitar work on the more calm 'Infinite Dreams'. Further, this is a concept album where the group manage to tell a story through their best lyrics to date. And finally, I think that Mr. Dickinson has not sung better than this on any other record.Song highlights: Infinite Dreams, The Clairvoyant.
