My 'fanship' was beginning to wane with the likes of Metallica's '...Justice' blowing everything away, but, on reflection, I feel this album was their (1st? ) pinnacle. Yes, I know it's pompy with the same old chord structures and formulas, but as an album unit, gells extremely well. The songs are well played, produced and constructed - the mood conveyed is quite uplifting! Madness is a great song! Lyrically, it's a bit Ronnie James Dio (not good at all!), but who cares? Less domanant synths than on SIT and a better album for it. But enough to envoke the mood. Downhill from this record..but I haven't heard BNW yet!
