Its a sad state of affairs these days when it comes to the perception of a band such as Iron Maiden. Too many times I have seen people group them with bands such as Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Poison and other glam styled bands with one or so good albums or (in the case of Poison) no good albums. Very rarely is Maiden looked upon in the same way as bands such as The Doors and Pink Floyd, in the sense of their being sort of "untouchable" and of no modern band coming close to what they did. Folks, The Doors really only ever had two good albums (first and last) and Pink Floyd only two as well (Dark Side and The Wall). Iron Maiden had SEVEN awesome albums in a row. Thats right folks, they had more hit albums one after another then most bands ever make in their entire career. Powerslave was their fifth album in this long string of greatness and next to Number Of The Beast it was their second greatest album. I won't say why its good, any metalhead worth his salt knows just how damn good this thing really is along with the other Maiden classics. I won't say you should buy it because there are a lot of other reviews here saying just that and you should already own it! Don't listen to those who proclaim bands such as The Doors, Pink Floyd and others as the last word in rock. Take a band still turning out excellent material (Brave New World) and who only had two bad albums in their whole career (No Prayer and X-Factor) of twelve albums. If you like metal then please buy this or stop claiming to be a metalhead
