Iron Maiden is top-notch

Recently, thanks to some friends of mine, I have become an avid fan of Iron Maiden. But I must say that this is probably one of their best (if not their best). "Aces High" is one of their classic songs. This album, compared to their earlier albums, is not raw or hard-edged.

"Aces High" features some of the best drumwork ever in a heavy metal album. It's a great song that perfectly blends heavy metal with the flavor of flying in a jet.

"Flash of the Blade" features great guitar work and a great song which strongly resembles something out of a medieval story\game. I especially love the chorus ("in a corner forgotten by no one..."), performed in spectacular fashion by Bruce Dickinson.

And of course, this features their 13-minute juggernaut, "Rime of the Ancient Mariner." One of their best songs ever.

these two are my favorites, but there are other good songs that weren't mentioned that are on the album. I strongly recommend this album, and get some of their later albums too. I also recommend obtaining albums by Judas Priest and OLD Metallica, who have produced masterpieces.
