Iron Maiden's Reviews

Piece Of Mind (Average Rating: 9.24 out of 10)
Very metal indeed, but not Maiden's best album (Rated this album with 8 out of 10) Reviewed by

This album is the album that came in between my two favourite Maiden albums - Powerslave and Number of the Beast. Although this album IS classic Maiden, and it does feature some of Maiden's best material, not every track is 'up there' with the likes of 'Number of the Beast', 'Run to the hills', 'Aces high' and 'Powerslave'. The first five tracks are amazing, and if the rest had been of similar quality this would be 'up there' with 'Number of the beast' and 'Powerslave', but the other four tracks are just average, and are not really all that memorable. That is why I had to give the album four stars. This is definitely one for the collection, but get Number of the Beast and Powerslave first. This was the first album with what is in my oppinion the 'classic' Maiden Lineup. Bruce on vocals, Adrian and Dave on guitar, Steve as always on the bass and Nicko on Drums. I am glad that this lineup is now back together with an additional guitarist. Having three guitarists may seem unnecessary to some, but three guitarists means three part guitar harmonies and maybe even TRIPLET GUITAR SOLOS! Anyway, UP THE IRONS
